Holman Shiraz 2006 is the best red wine we have ever made at Mount Eyre Vineyards so far. And most wine reviewers and writers agree! The fruit is from our Holman Estate at Pokolbin. It was fermented in open fermenters before going to barrel, which was 100% French oak from the best forests. After 14 months in barrel, the wine was bottles and released in 2008. Drinking well now, this wine will age well for at least another 20 years. It displays all the classic Hunter flavours: saddle leather, tobacco, chocolate and dark berries. Winemaker - Steve Hagan.
